Profit is calculated as the difference between the MRP and expenses incurred during the production and distribution of the book. Profit = MRP – Expenses (Platform Fee + Distribution Cost + Production Cost).
Sample Calculation:
Let us assume, the MRP of a book is Rs.100, and the production cost of the book is Rs.30/-. The Distribution Cost when a book sells in India
Therefore, profits are calculated as
Profits = MRP – (Platform Fee +Distribution Cost + Production Cost)
= Rs.100 – (5 + 50 + 30) = Rs. 85/-
Author Earnings would be Rs. 15/-
